Aurele Gould is an image maker based in Richmond, VA with a BFA in Photography + Film from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Gould’s numerous group exhibitions include Where The Pieces Fall at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, VA (2021) and My Queer Valentine at Target Gallery in Alexandria, VA (2020). Their exhibitions have been written about in Washington City Paper (2020) and The Commonwealth Times (2017). Gould was a 2021 Resident at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond. They have been honored with the 2020 VMFA Professional Fellowship Award and the Distinguished Photographer Award from Alex Klein of the ICA Philadelphia. Gould has published in Fifth Wheel Press’ (FWP) That Way Zine Volume 1 (2021), and their work was recently featured in the monozine GLARE (FWP 2023).
